Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. As a Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and joining metal components using processes such as MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), ensuring strong and lasting welds that meet project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.

• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead, etc.).

• Operate welding machines and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality using measuring tools and visual checks.

• Grind, cut, or clean welds and metal surfaces as required.

• Set up components for welding according to specifications.

• Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.

• Collaborate with other team members, fabricators, and supervisors to complete projects on time.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a welder in a fabrication shop, construction site, or industrial setting.

• Proficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding techniques (one or more).

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

• Familiarity with different metals and thicknesses (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).

• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.

• Basic math skills and ability to measure accurately.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a welding apprenticeship or technical training program.

• Certification from AWS or equivalent (preferred or required based on role).

• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, or outdoors.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pipe welding, structural welding, or pressure vessel welding.

• Forklift or crane operation experience.

• Welding certifications (AWS, ASME, etc.) relevant to job scope.
