Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Solar Panel Installer to join our renewable energy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on residential and commercial rooftops or ground-mounted structures. This position requires basic electrical knowledge, comfort working at heights, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Install solar panels, racking systems, and related components on rooftops or ground-mounted structures.

Secure solar modules according to layout and engineering plans.

Connect panels to inverters and other electrical components (if licensed or under supervision).

Seal roof penetrations to prevent leaks and ensure structural integrity.

Measure, cut, and assemble mounting structures and wiring systems.

Perform system testing to ensure proper operation.

Assist with loading/unloading materials and staging tools on job sites.

Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Communicate effectively with crew leaders and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
-
1+ year of experience in solar, roofing, general construction, or electrical work preferred.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and in various weather conditions.

Basic understanding of electrical systems (preferred).

Ability to read and follow layout diagrams and work orders.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights for extended periods.

Willingness to travel to local job sites.

Must pass background check and drug screening (if required).
Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification.

Electrical apprenticeship or journeyman license (if performing wiring).

Experience with grid-tied, battery storage, or hybrid systems.
