Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Former and Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for forming, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces and structures such as sidewalks, driveways, foundations, slabs, and curbs. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of concrete techniques, formwork systems, and finishing tools, along with a solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications.

Set forms to desired pitch and depth and align them properly.

Place and tie rebar or mesh reinforcement as needed.

Mix, pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, screeds, and other tools.

Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using trowels, floats, and power tools.

Apply curing compounds, sealants, or other surface treatments.

Patch voids and use proper techniques to repair damaged concrete.

Ensure quality control and proper finishing according to job specifications.

Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a concrete former and/or finisher.

Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install formwork.

Skilled in finishing techniques including broom, trowel, and stamped finishes.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow direction.

Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.

Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Experience with commercial, residential, or civil concrete projects.

Certification in concrete finishing or related trade is a plus.
Working Conditions:

Outdoor job sites; exposure to weather, dust, and construction noise.

May involve long hours, weekends, or overtime depending on project timelines.
